Colin began his mechanical career in 1972, shortly after leaving school working as an apprentice for a Volvo dealer & later continuing on at a Vauxhall dealer in Winchester. He has also gained experience in a couple of transport workshops touching on larger HGVs but found working on cars and light vans was more to his liking. He has worked for a village garage in the workshop, out attending car breakdowns at the side of the road and even carried out car recovery work around the country.
Having worked at a ‘fast fit’ establishment, Colin felt the constant requirement to upsell to customers didn’t sit well with his honest conscience and so left and started his mobile business in 1986. He then spent the next few years slowly building his reputation with customers in the Winchester area, and is now a reliable mechanic serving both new and many regular customers . He is known for his honesty and good workmanship at a reasonable price.
